FTP Clients
An FTP client is a program that helps you connect to your hosting server and transfer files - like website pages, images, and backups - between your computer and the server.
It makes it easy to:
- Upload files to your website
- Download backups
- Edit files without using cPanel
We highly reccomend using FileZilla, as it's free and most effecient.
To use FileZilla, you’ll need to use the following details:
- Host: ftp.yourdomain.com, www.yourdomain.com or your server’s IP address
- Username: Your full FTP username (e.g., john@yourdomain.com)
- Password: The password you set in cPanel
- Port: 21
Just enter this info into FileZilla, click Quickconnect, and you’ll be connected to your server - ready to manage your files.
