Create an FTP Account
FTP (File Transfer Protocol) accounts let you upload, download, and manage files on your hosting server.
You can use an FTP client (like FileZilla) to connect and move website files easily without logging in to cPanel.
To create an FTP Account in cPanel
Step 1: Log in to cPanel
Step 2: Go to FTP Accounts
Under the Files section, click on FTP Accounts.
Step 3: Fill in the Details
- Login: Enter a username (e.g., john)
- Domain: Select the domain (e.g., @yourdomain.com)
- Password: Create a strong password or use the generator
- Directory: Set the folder this FTP user can access (e.g., public_html/john)
- Quota: Set how much disk space they can use (or choose Unlimited)
Step 4: Click Create FTP Account
Once done, the FTP account will be created
